Reviews

Great pants, build with quality in mind, but…

"The pants are definitely tight around the thighs so layering underneath will be difficult. The waist band is true to size, but just be advised that it’s snug below the waistline. Also the legs are super long. So you’ll most likely need them hemmed."

so far so good

"Haven't had a chance to put these to the test yet but will soon. Fit is good, quality seems great and they are warm! Love that these come in a longer inseam - they are perfect. Women's pants are generally always too short so I opt for men's - the fit is perfect - I usually wear a 27/28 in women's"

Great pants

"I am very impressed with this company. I had an issue with shipping, and SKRE customer service answered me even before the carrier and dealt with my concerns right away. On a long weekend too, which was excellent. So I got to use these pants the day after I got them on a hunt. Very comfortable. I like the zipper pulls a lot. The fit is athletic [I generally wear 36 and for that size in these pants it's rated as 35-36], so they are ever so slightly snug on me. That being said, I wore them for 3 days while I was hunting and they were great. Water did saturate the knee, but it wasn't unbearable or running down my leg - I was successful in my hunt and was kneeling in a swamp for some time dealing with my moose, so it was totally expected. The pants dried out significantly in the pack out. Great product, great introduction for me to this company, I will buy more."

Kodiak pants

"Great paint for mid to late season or if your just a easily cold person definitely a great pant and would buy another pair"

— Morgan C. (5/5)

Kodiak pant

"I notice when I tried to pin up to make pant shorter the pin hardly went thru, guessing a rattle snake might not be able to bite thru that material, seems pretty tough !!!!!"

— David W. (5/5)

excellent fit and warm

"The fit is excellent: not overly wide through the legs, with plenty of stretch and very good freedom of movement. The material and construction feel high quality, and they are substantially thicker and warmer than I expected. These are definitely not lightweight early-season pants. the zipped vents at the hips are very useful. Very comfortable, great fit, plenty of stretch, and a substantial feel. 5/5."

I have been a Sitka

"I have been a Sitka fan for a long time and was a part of the outfitter program with them but the gear started getting thinner and cheaper and more expensive every time I ordered it so I thought I’d give skre a chance and so far they have not disappointed me I picked up $2000 worth of camo and it has been fantastic so far quality is great material seems thicker and more sturdy. The one hoodie I got for a little small but they exchanged it so fast and hassle free. As of right now they get 5 stars we will see how they are with the warranty when the camp starts to break down. I use my gear heavily and a-lot as it’s intended to be used so I’m sure it will break down as some point!"

Kodiak pants

"I have not hunted in them yet but I’m very pleased with how they look and how they feel. Been using another BIG NAME brand for years now but I wanted to give skre a chance and this is my second purchase from skre and so far I’m very pleased"

Q&A

I have a pair of the Hardscrabble pants I bought in a 34 waist. I wear 34s in every other brand, but the Hardscrabble I can barely button. How are the Kodiak Pants in relation? Do I need to order a size up?
The Kodiak will fit very similarly. They do have an extra layer of fleece so it may feel slightly tighter even though the fit is the same.
Does this pant not have a tall option in ash or is it out of stock?
Yes, It does have a tall option but we are limited on tall supply at the moment.
What size are the belt loops?
Great question. Our pants fit a 2 inch belt.
How are the Kodiak pants compared to the Hardscrabble bibs? I have the bibs and this looks like a good layer for wearing in on colder days and using the bibs once on stand. They look like they would be similar in warmth to the bibs.
That is a great question! It sounds like you are already pretty spot on. The only difference it the pocket layout of the pants and that there is an extra layer of insulation for colder weather. Its a great pant for the cold hunts!
The Kodiak pants get nice review for being warm. What jacket has matching construction with regards to materials and warmth?
Hardscrabble Jacket and Kodiak Pants have a polyester exterior and a micro-fleece interior.
