"Great jacket. very versatile, zippered chest pockets, waist pockets, big armpit vents and oversized adjustable hood that doesn’t effect your vision. Wish they would go to elastic wrist cuffs instead of Velcro but definitely not a deal breaker. Super quiet and very comfortable. A great layering jacket for the cool morning, without the bulk. Buy now and break it in just a little before the season begins!!"

"The jacket fits a little tighter than i expected when compared to other brands. The material is louder than i was hoping for so i wont use it in certain hunting situations. I thought about returning the set but its well made and i will use it for something. If they get the sizing right and a quieter material i will be a repeat customer. Not trying to knock the product im just specific on what works for me. Still giving it a favorable review though for quality."

"I now have the Hardscrabble pants, bibs and jacket. The quality is exceptional and they are very comfortable. I can wear a large or Xtra large jackets depending on the fit. I went with the XL for this jacket and it was the right choice, a large would have fit but it would have been snug. I'm 6'2" 215 Lbs."

"Great looking jacket. I like the Solace camo for the area I hunt. I went with a 2XL, which is a little on the big side for me (I'm 6'0", 210lbs), but I like the extra room for layering up as the mornings and evenings are cold but afternoons are usually quite warm in the Alberta fall."

Q&A
- When pairing a large ptarmigan puffy with a hardscrabble jacket should I size up to an XL or stay with a Large
- That is a great question. Our gear is built as a layering system, meaning it is meant to be layered under and over. A lot of our customers will order both jackets in the same size, while others will upsize the Hardscrabble Jacket to fit over the top of the Ptarmigan while layering. If you prefer a little extra room I would recommend upsizing while if you are not to concerned about the extra space, you will be fine with ordering both Jackets in large.
- I ordered the 2XL and found the jacket too large and then ordered the XL with a little too athletic of a cut for my taste. Any chance of a XL King or something in the future?
- Sizing can sometimes be challenging. We will continue to improve on sizing.
- On 8/15/22 an answer to a previous question stated that current Hardscrabble jackets did not have harness pass throughs, but that all future ones would. Do the ones currently being sold have a harness pass through? This is an important feature for me and would appreciate an update. Thank you.

- Yes, it has a microfleece layer under it.
- Could this be used with the 1/4 zip base layer and the 300 hoodie to stay warm in upstate ny in late november. Some days get down below 20
- That is tough to answer, people regulate temps so differently. For most it should be enough, but other factors including wind chill and humidity may call for additional bundling such as the ptarmigan down jacket.
