You can eat steep ascents and still stay cool, while simultaneously providing insulation on those brisk fall mornings and cool evenings. We bonded a rugged grid fleece face fabric to our ultra-soft microfleece to create a wind-resistant barrier that is both rugged and comfortable. Its lite & compact design makes it the perfect piece to stuff in the pack. When you hit the top of a windy ridge, reach for the turret hood which provides ample insulation for your dome. 
CARE & MAINTENANCE

Machine wash in warm water with like colors.

Hang or tumble dry on low or no heat.

Use unscented detergent.

DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.

If the garment is heavily soiled, pre-soak it in unscented detergent for a few hours before washing.

Almost perfect but a huge swing & miss

"Overall the Grid Lite Jacket hits every mark. Warm without the bulk, full zip, drawstring waist and thumb holes so your sleeves dont bunch up when you layer over it. But the glaring huge swing and miss, no drawstring in the hood. The hood is big and will fit over anything you you put under it. That being said, its so loose around the sides it almost serves no purpose. I mean if its a bit windy, this things a parachute. There is no way to adjust the opening and that sucks. Love the jacket but may end up returning it because of this oversight. Basic hoodies have drawstrings, so I would expect the same on a technical piece of gear like the Grid Lite. Maybe I can add one myself."

I like the arm and

"I like the arm and body length but it seems like I'm in between sizes. (The hardscrabble jacket I bought in same size is excellent fit, comfort. . . everything!). The grid lite I've worn quite a bit as everyday jacket. I've washed it and hung dry but threads are sticking out in several places. Hopefully it won't keep unraveling threads every time it's washed"

"Just spent the last two weeks in Alaska fishing, hiking, and general sightseeing. This jacket has been great as a mid layer underneath a rain jacket. Originally thought it would be too heavy because I bought it as a replacement for the original backcountry lite jacket, but now I definitely recommend."

Might step down a size. . .

"I got the grid lite jacket in large. It arrived yesterday. I love the summit pattern! I really like the fit. Large makes this perfect on me for under layering, but i might step down to a medium, which would allow me to wear an outer layer easier. Feels great, fits great, mostly size accurate, good zippers on pockets. Should work well for both spring turkey and for archery season in my region. Could use even later in season with proper layering."

Q&A

Are the side zips on the Grid Lite Jacket for a pocket or are they vent zips?
They are pockets with mesh so they can be opened up and used for ventalation.
Will the Gridlite jacket layer well under the Hardscrabble jacket? Should I order the same size in both or size up the Hardscrabble if I plan to layer?
That is a great question. Generally all of our gear is made to layer under/over each other but the hardscrabble jacket and the Gridlite are both midseason outer layers so it may be slightly tight. A lot of our customers will layer the same size Hardscrabble jacket over the Gridlite but some like to upsize the Hardscrabble to fit thicker layers underneath. It really just depends on how the Hardscrabble jacket size you order fits. If its got a little extra room the Gridlite should layer perfectly under. If not I would recommend upsizing the Hardscrabble.
Does the grid lite jacket have a harness pass through?
They do not.
